Communication Strategy for COVID-19 Vaccination
Discount Drug Mart, a family-owned chain of drug stores with over 75 locations in Ohio, was called upon by the Governor’s Office in coordination with the Ohio Department of Health to provide the COVID-19 vaccine (as one of the earliest approved providers!). As they began work on the logistics and put their process in place, we strategized how to communicate with the public, educate DDM’s audience, and get as many people registered to receive the vaccine as possible.
Through emails, social media posts, television and streaming commercials, radio, and media appearances, DDM has had a constant stream of communication regarding their administration of the COVID-19 vaccine.
From the beginning, they’ve been dedicated to answering questions from community members, educating on side effects, and, of course, guiding individuals through the registration and vaccination process.
