Giving Back in a Big Way Through a Social Media Giveaway

First Federal Lakewood is a mutual bank headquartered in Lakewood, Ohio with locations throughout Northeast Ohio and Columbus. As a community bank, First Federal Lakewood is committed to giving back to residents of the communities they serve. We worked with First Federal Lakewood to run a $2,000 cash giveaway on Instagram and Facebook around the holidays.

They say money doesn't grow on trees but for this giveaway...it did! We conceptualized and built a "money tree" featuring First Federal Lakewood's tree logo, ornaments, and (fake!) money. The tree was placed in the lobby of their Lakewood location to generate excitement around the giveaway.

There were many ways to enter the giveaway on Instagram and Facebook over the course of six days, including liking, following, and commenting. We tracked all of the entries and at the end of the giveaway, one lucky winner was awarded $2,000 in cash!

The giveaway drove astounding social media results including a 71% increase in Instagram followers and a 15% increase in Facebook followers.
